This guide assumes you are familiar with the Deck Building rules.
Since the resources used by the Action Cards determine the Quests advance, they must match. This will also determine which heroes to play with.
To keep things simpler at first, chose heroes of the same element. For this example we will pick Earth!
Aim to have a bit of each resource:
Then decide which quests to include in the deck. It is recommended to have 4-6 quests as a balance between having enough quests in play and drawing too many.
It's a good idea to identify a game plan, before picking the quests.
Continuing with the heroes Triad from above, we have defensive & late-game quests, so we can continue in the same vein:
Your deck starts with the 20 cards that are the least costly (Read more).
Pick a combination of action cards matching the hero resources and early game items:
Then a few starting items, costing at most 2 crystals:
Arguably the most exciting time, it's about power-cards!
The Archives contain up to 30 cards that are added at random into your deck when you unlock the resources. Let's pick cards that will advance our game-plan and make us win!
