Deck Building Guide

This guide assumes you are familiar with the Deck Building rules.

Resources at the center of everything

To advance your in game quests, you must ensure the heroes in your deck have the Skills which match the quests resource requirements. Build your deck around these quests to unlock powerful new abilities that change the outcome of your game!

Start with the Triad heroes

  • To keep things simpler at first, chose heroes of the same element. For this example we will pick Earth!

  • Aim to have a bit of each resource:

A rock-solid Triad

Pick Quests

Then decide which quests to include in the deck. It is recommended to have 4-6 quests as a balance between having enough quests in play without drawing too many.

It's a good idea to identify a game plan, before picking the quests.

Continuing with the Triad of heroes from above, we have defensive & late-game quests, so we can continue in the same vein:

One more monster-related quest for card draw and additional crystals

A quest only requiring our most accessible resources

Chose deck initial cards

Your deck starts with the 20 cards that are the least costly (Read more).

Pick a combination of action cards matching the hero resources and early game items:

Then a few starting items, costing at most 2 crystals:

Is that a combo with a previous card?

Chose Archives Cards

Arguably the most exciting time, it's about power-cards!

The Archives contain up to 30 cards that are added at random into your deck when you unlock the resources. Let's pick cards that will advance our game-plan and make us win!

Combo with all the quests monsters
It's Hammertime!

Conclusion

And 🎉, our first deck is ready!

There are tons of archetypes and combos to explore, and even more when going into multi-element decks. We suggest testing out your deck, and then altering one or two cards at a time as you perfect your list. Congrats on following this guide, see you on the battlefield!
